Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

About the Position: The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force; Space Force, and Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral and medical standards required by the DoD and the military services.
Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining and processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces. This will be permanent position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
