Job Description

Summary

This job involves supervising exams at a college testing center, helping students and others schedule and take tests, and providing friendly support to everyone involved.

It's a part-time role for about 25 hours a week with flexible shifts during business hours.

A good fit would be someone organized, good with people, and comfortable using basic computers who enjoys helping in an educational setting.

Key Requirements

  • Associate's degree or high school diploma plus 2 years of related work experience
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Strong computer skills, including basic troubleshooting of software and hardware issues
  • Excellent customer service skills for interacting with students, staff, and external clients
  • Effective communication abilities with all levels of personnel
  • Typing speed of 35-55 wpm (may be required for some positions)
  • Availability for part-time shifts (25 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 8AM-6PM, variable schedule)

Full Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Testing Center Director provides administrative support and on campus proctoring services.

Monitors progress and operation of scheduled testing and on-line training programs.

Communicate effectively with customers Assist customers with scheduling exams Process source documents for testing Process and deliver test reports Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers

Requirements

Associates Degree or HS diploma + 2 years related work experience. Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35-55 wpm and/or basic knowledge of computer operations.

Qualifications

Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and Outlook). Strong computer skills including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

Self-starter with strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with all level of College personnel, students, business and industry clients is essential.

Additional Information

This is a temporary position. It is for 25 hours per week. The Testing Center is open Monday-Thursday, 8AM-6PM. Shifts may vary depending on the schedule for the week.
