Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing and supporting a large fleet of wireless devices like smartphones and tablets for the U.S.

Marine Corps, including tracking inventory, enforcing security policies, and providing hands-on technical help to users.

It also includes coordinating with carriers for service issues and basic desktop support.

A good fit would be someone with experience in IT support, especially with mobile devices, who enjoys troubleshooting and staying organized in a military environment.

Key Requirements

GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and maintaining the wireless device and public address equipment asset management plan; identifying, reporting, and resolving, a variety of wireless device issues and problems; recommending changes in methods and practices and providing critical information and assistance to wireless customers; serving as the central point of contact for end-user wireless mobility support.

GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: tracking and maintaining inventories of wireless devices and available spares; generating reports on device and network usage, device health, security compliance and software updates; Managing user access and permissions on mobile devices.

  • You will maintain a variety of over 900 wireless devices including Samsung Android and Apple smartphones, Android Tablets, and wireless modems.
  • You will manage device lifecycle, including ordering upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning.
  • You will enforce device policies like password complexity, data encryption, and app restrictions.
  • You will provide technical support to users regarding mobile device usage and troubleshooting connectivity problems.
  • You will coordinate with the wireless carrier when necessary to resolve service-related issues and perform hardware maintenance on wireless assets.
  • You will perform desktop support to resolve common software application issues and instructs users on the submission of trouble tickets for the resolution of enterprise service-related issues.
