The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including diagnosing telecommunication malfunctions through visual examination and electrical testing.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

• You will operate, maintain, install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, program, and test specialized digital fire alarm systems.
• You will disassemble, assemble, and adjust electronic equipment.
• You will maintain files and records on each system electronically in a database.
• You will verify compliance of contract installed fire alarm systems.
• You will assist engineering personnel in writing standard operating procedures.
• You will perform preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, radio fire alarms, and intrusion alarm systems.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
