Full Job Description

You will serve as a Telecommunications Manager in the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment of NCTAMS LANT DET SOUDA BAY.

This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1) Directing, planning, coordinating, and organizing the infrastructure of a telecommunications network and; 2) Evaluating the quality of operations and taking corrective actions to resolve problems such as excessive failures or delays, or high operating costs and 3) Developing technical specification contract documentation to support all telephony maintenance and service requirements; to include fixed line and cellular services.

  • You will analyze trends in the nature and level of demands for services and balances user requests against available capabilities and costs.
  • You will analyze the feasibility pf meeting additional requirements within existing capabilities or justifies required changes in staffing, equipment, services, or operational procedures to maintain adequate levels of service at minimum cost.
  • You will provide policy guidance and interpretation.
  • You will plan and direct the work of the Detachment.
  • You will ensure compliance with bilateral international treaty agencies involving the provision of official-use telecommunications services to all U.S. forces in Greece.
