Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conduct governance and portfolio management activities to establish strategic guidance and recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the program, its operations, and IT products/systems.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will lead development, implementation, execution and management of program plans, policies, and procedures that support the Naval Applications and Business Services program management activities in a complex portfolio comprised of IT systems.
  • You will lead and manage business execution activities for budgets, contracts, training, risks, schedules, taskers and assigned programs/systems.
  • You will collaborate across DRPM and NAVWAR to manage and coordinate with multiple project/program management offices to ensure alignment with the DRPM IT portfolio initiatives.
  • You will lead, manage, and analyze internal program business processes to minimize operating/business risks resulting in portfolio operational efficiency (e.g., adherence to policies, rules, regulations, and laws).
  • You will analyze and evaluate interrelated issues such as contract cost, performance, and schedule, taking into full consideration portfolio/program management issues and risks.
  • You will Provide programmatic leadership in monitoring and evaluating the performance of assigned programs, making recommendations as appropriate, and reporting program status and progress to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager.
  • You will support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process that include portfolio/program budget planning/execution, cost estimating, and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) activities to ensure alignment of plans etc.
  • You will Manage, analyze, and validate portfolio/program manpower and staffing requirements (civilian, military, contractor) and lead continuous monitoring of the portfolio/program’s manning and manpower health.
