Full Job Description

You will serve as a Technical Project Manager in the Acoustic Trials Onboard Measurement Systems (ATOMS) Department of CARDEROCK DIV NS.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer leading or managing all phases of project schedules, communications, budgets and control mechanisms for shipboard acoustic measurement systems.

• You will serve was the Technical Project Manager in the planning, design, development, integration, test, repair and sustainment of these systems in direct support of acoustic trials.
• You will lead in the development of projects for shipboard data systems, including associated system hardware components, software management, sensor development, asset configuration, and on-board data collection.
• You will lead future systems development programs.
• You will develop strategies, technical milestones and budget proposals in line with sponsor objectives, funding profiles and resources.
• You will coordinate shipboard Temporary Alteration (TempAlt), cybersecurity sustainment and Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
• You will develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation as well as provide sponsor briefs on a variety of system areas, including, budget, asset condition readiness, resources, and schedule.
• You will follow project management principles with progress tracking, budget planning, resource management, earned value management metrics and performance monitoring.
• You will ensure that acoustic measurement projects follow appropriate technical processes to plan, execute and deliver products in accordance with NSWCCD Technical Excellence standards.
• You will assist in the professional development of division personnel through mentorship, training and review of work products.
