THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a TARGET SYSTEMS REPAIRER, Position Description Number PDD2709000 and is part of the WY Training Center Command, Wyoming Army National Guard.

This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment: Permanent Tenure: Group 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Telework: The duties of this position require primary physical presence.

Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Para/Line: 1910 / 018 Selecting Official: SFC Andrew Lambert AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2 and 4.

If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible).

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the Training Center Command.

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard.

Area 4: All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard.

Area 6: Current military members of the United States military branches or prior service members of one of those military branches.

Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MILITARY GRADE Min: E-3 Max: E-5 Out-of-State enlisted applicant's military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized.

Over-grade applicants must provide a written demotion statement of understanding with application, willingness to be administratively reduced in grade (state specific grade - E-5/SGT) if selected for this position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves repairing, installing, operating, and maintaining a variety of Army Standard Integrated Target Systems, such as Armor Moving Target Carriers (AMTC), Infantry Moving Target Carrier Systems (IMTS), Target Holding Mechanism Tank Gunnery (THMTG) an Enhanced Remote Target Systems (ERETS).

Operates and performs maintenance on power generating and portable power source equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to use and maintain electronic and electrical equipment, components, and ability to perform repairs and testing.

Candidates must have knowledge of standard troubleshooting techniques to troubleshoot for common recurring kinds of defects.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training demonstrating knowledge of electronics, test equipment, measuring devices, and equipment used to assemble and disassemble, clean, replace, or adjust target systems and control panels.

Candidates must be proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, specifications, and wiring diagrams to aid in minor troubleshooting and repairs of defected equipment.

NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Range Safety Level 2 certification AND a Wildland Firefighting Red Card within 12 months of employment.

DRIVER'S LICENSE: You must possess a valid driver's license. Major Duties:

The primary purpose of this position is to repair, install, operate, and maintain a variety of Army Standard Integrated Target Systems, such as Armor Moving Target Carriers (AMTC), Infantry Moving Target Carrier Systems (IMTCS); Target Holding Mechanism Tank Gunnery (THMTG) and Enhanced Remote Target Systems (ERETS).

Installs, removes, maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, and repairs voice and/or nonvoice communications systems including intercom equipment; electronic systems; terminal communications equipment; modem; fiber-optic end equipment; T1-carriers, and line drivers.

Installs thermal target equipment to include, but not limited to, AC or DC powered thermal heating panels.

Isolates faulty components and determines extent of repair or replacement required to restore power, signal, or correct mechanical operation.

Inspects and tests Army Standard Integrated Target Systems, using wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and test equipment (i.e., voltmeters, multiplexers, miniature consoles, and digital multi-meters).

Operates and maintains wheeled vehicles assigned to the shop. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **
