This job involves examining satellite images and other data to understand global events, threats, and disasters, helping U.S. military leaders and policymakers make informed decisions.
Imagery Analysts create strategies for gathering intelligence, analyze patterns in activities of countries or groups, and share findings through briefings and reports.
It's a great fit for detail-oriented people with a background in geography, international studies, or intelligence who enjoy teamwork and using technology to solve complex problems.
Imagery Analysts maintain and build tasking strategies, and analyze and interpret imagery to support U.S. military and policymaker interests.
They analyze the activities and interests of countries, regions, and non-state entities, as well as the impact of natural and man-made disasters.
In addition, these analysts conduct multi-INT research, populate and exploit intelligence databases, and produce MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required).

Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the need of various audiences. 2.

Experience using technical skills, such as computer vision implementation, data mining in addition to analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, algorithm development, and/or data science. 4.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with others. 5. Demonstrated experience with research and analysis, imagery, and/or geospatial analysis. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, International Affairs, International Studies, Military Science, Physical Science, Political Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field.

Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Hand steadiness; Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENT: Prolonged exposure to video display units DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1.
Experience in meeting requirements on scheduled collaborative work with other organizations in a fast-paced and/or constantly changing environment. 2.
Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS). 3. Knowledge of national and/or Commercial Imaging Systems; Image Tasking; Image Processing; Image Exploitation and writing imagery reports. 4.
Knowledge of national or commercial imagery systems to include tasking, processing, exploitation, and analysis. Major Duties:
This Job Announcement will be used to build a pool of qualified applicants for a hiring event taking place on 28 February 2026 thru 1 March 2026.
Band 3 Imagery Analysts (Targeting) provide tailored, timely, and actionable GEOINT support in Intermediate Target Development (ITD) for targeting across the spatial/temporal spectrum in support of U.S.
senior leaders, policy makers, combatant commands, allies, and partner nations.
They focus on deliberate targeting of stationary objects and facilities, but as the nature of warfare changes, they respond to dynamic targeting requirements.
In addition, they provide targeting expertise for Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM) and other targeting related data and services that support the Joint Targeting Enterprise while producing Advanced Target Development (ATD) products to include: Target Research, Weaponeering, and Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE).
They maintain relationships with their IC counterparts, international partners, and customers. The applicant may also be expected to support 24/7 operations and deployments.
