Full Job Description

This is a non-merit, temporary position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

The Iowa Veterans Home has a temporary Switchboard Operator opening.
The hourly wage will be $17.29-$25.17. This is a non-merit position.

This position serves as a Secretary 1 and is the center of all communications at the Iowa Veterans Home. Must be able to operate a multi-line phone system, monitor alarms and communicate with authorities in emergency situations. Must have excellent customer service skills, clerical experience and computer skills. The hours will vary.
