Summary

This job involves leading a team to plan and manage partnerships for cyber defense operations within the Department of Defense, focusing on strategy, crisis planning, and coordinating with partners to protect national security in cyberspace.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of experience equivalent to GG-13 level in strategic and operational planning for cyberspace operations or developing crisis action planning products

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate long-range planning, strategies, goals, and milestones for DoDIN Operations and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO-IDM)
  • Skills in identifying and developing solutions to complex issues in DoDIN Operations and DCO-IDM
  • Experience performing analysis of national and international policies, guidance, strategies, agreements, and doctrine related to national security
  • Proficiency in representing organizations in partnership meetings, conferences, and forums to exchange information and resolve issues

Full Job Description

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.

It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Professional Work Category at the Supervision/Management Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - MSO/WORKFORCE SVCS AND DEV.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in conducting strategic & operational level planning in cyberspace operations; Or developing crisis action planning products.

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Serves as Chief and technical authority of the Partnerships Division in support of DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC).
  • Supervises personnel in developing and executing the DCDC Activities and Investment (OAIs) in direct support of command plans and operations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates substantive, mission-oriented programs including long-range planning and strategy, goals and objectives, and milestones regarding the coordination and synchronization of DoDIN Operations and DCO-IDM planning.
  • Identifies and develops effective, practical solutions to complex DoDIN Operations and Defensive Cyberspace Operations Internal Defensive Measures (DCO IDM) issues.
  • Performs analysis of current and emerging policy, guidance, strategy, agreements, and doctrine both national and international to determine consistency with existing U.S. national security, military, and political interests and objectives.
  • Represents DCDC in partnership meetings, conferences, and forums. Exchanges information, develops recommendations, resolves issues, and facilitates the implementation of partner relations policies and procedures.
