This vacancy is for a GS-0343-15, Supv Mgmt & Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT and METRICS DIVISION -CG-9283. Washington, DC.

Basic Requirements: This position has a positive Education Requirement in addition to at least one year of Specialized Experience or substitution of education for experience or combination (if applicable) in order to be found minimally qualified.

You will serve as a Supv Mgmt & Program Analyst and be responsible for Chief, Mobility Policy Division and for the daily supervision and administration of the office and division staff to ensure overall effectiveness and efficiency of waterways management programs, operations, organizations, and agency functions nationwide in compliance with various Federal laws and regulations.

Typical work assignments include: Serving as supervisor for a subordinate staff of specialists who represent all fields of personnel administration.

Rendering policy decisions and exercising immediate technical and administrative direction to the Mobility Policy Division staff.

Carrying out EEO, work life, and work force policies and communicating support of these policies to subordinates.

Evaluating the progress of short- and long-range planning and various programs designed to meet organizational goals and objectives related to MTS mobility.

Identifying and developing ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives.

Exercising independent responsibility for resolving controversial and complex issues.
