For the GS-15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-14 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience managing an agency's logistical services program such as agency fleet vehicle management, equipment planning & distribution, industrial property management; OR evaluating and making recommendations on logistical operations for efficiency and effectiveness; OR developing and issuing regulatory guidance pertaining to an agency's logistical services program.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-14 or higher grade in Federal Service.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Administers the Agency Logistics Services Program which includes agency fleet vehicle management, equipment planning and distribution, industrial property management, and policy and compliance management.
  • Responsible for warehouse and logistics operation policy and accountability of vehicle feet at DISA worldwide locations. Develops worldwide policies and procedures pertaining to logistic services.
  • Oversees the budget requirements and strategies for all aspects of the Division including estimates, justification, evaluation and integration of requirements, and development and execution of contingency plans and schedules.
  • Manages through subordinate Branch Chief supervisors the technical and administrative operations of the Division. Performs administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff members supervised.
  • Oversees the development and ongoing integrity of property/asset management and compliance-related performance metrics across the Agency.
