One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-05 for entry grade GS-06; GS-06 for entry grade GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized Experience For The GS-06 Is Defined As: Experience in functions, practices and procedures of support services programs including administrative practices for supply and property management, postal services, and records management.

GS-06 Time-In-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in Federal Service.

Specialized Experience For The GS-07 Is Defined As: Experience in conducting research and analysis identifies specialized products, analyzes cost-effective alternatives, and resolves complex, unforeseen purchasing requirements; coordination of a variety of support programs to include but not limited to postal program, implements solutions to resolve complex records management challenges, and assembly, installation, and reconfiguration of workstations.

GS-07 Time-In-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-06 or higher grade in Federal Service. Physical Effort: Frequently lift, carry or otherwise handle items weighing up to 18 kilograms (40 pounds).

Occasionally handle items greater than 18 kilograms. Heavier items are handled with freight handling equipment or assistance from other workers. Work in a sitting position for extended periods.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping is required. Occasionally climbing and working in high places may be required.

Major Duties:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mission, functions, practices and procedures of support services programs including administrative practices for supply and property management, postal services, and records management.
  • Incumbent administers the site’s Government Purchase Card (GPC) program and oversees the complete lifecycle of supply and property management, from acquisition to disposal.
  • Incumbent manages the site’s comprehensive records management program, ensuring full compliance and safeguarding of information.
  • Independently execute the assembly, installation, and reconfiguration of workstations and office furniture to create and sustain functional workspaces.
  • Work requires frequent walking, bending, stooping and stretching. The employee frequently lifts and carries weights up to 40 pounds. Heavier items are handled with freight handling equipment or assistance from other workers.
  • For vacancies filled at less than the full performance level of the position, duties will be developmental in nature.
