Full Job Description

THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: 103d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), East Granby, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel, assigned to the LRS of the Connecticut Air National Guard.

Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members, assigned to the LRS of the Connecticut Air National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered.

Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 12 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, education or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.

Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.

Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of requisitions, supporting documents and reference material to perform material coordination storage management responsibility for special programs, maintenance, and production shops.

Knowledge of established supply regulations, policies, procedures, and other instructions applicable to the specific assignment.

Knowledge to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for required information in order to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions.

Knowledge and ability to perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management, such as inventory management, excess property, storage management etc.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of AFSC. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection.

The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.

MILITARY GRADE (Prior to Application): Enlisted: E-1 through E-6 UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT: 103d Air Wing or any subordinate unit POSITION SEQUENCE NUMBER: 1074066 MANPOWER NUMBER: 1049-000 CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: You will be required to serve a 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

In determining if your employment advances the public interest, we may consider: - your performance and conduct; - the needs and interests of the agency; - whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and - whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service.

Upon completion of your trial period your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest. Major Duties:

Position to be filled upon the vacancy of the incumbent.

JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Air National Guard.

The major duties include, but are not limited to: Performs routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.

Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy.

Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs.

May develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations.
