THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0915000 and is part of the IL AASF 3, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S.
Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence: The area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
Military Grades: Enlisted Only - May not exceed the rank requirement of SFC.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Level - MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level; Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstructing records for supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, including individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; Experience performing these duties with greater independence, complexity, or responsibility consistent.
GS-06 Level - MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstructing records for supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, records, memoranda, or other documentation.
GS-05 Level - MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
Demonstrated knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned.
Experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports.
Experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced.

This information is needed to determine if you are qualified for the position. Major Duties:
As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-5/6/7, you will provide services in support of inventory control, storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.
Manages aviation materials and resource tracking(i.e.
Depot Level Repairable (DLR)/Class 9 (CLIX) funds and all other appropriate air and ground budgets), Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)/tools management, and Hazardous Material Management.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Forecast, justify, prepare, submit, and administer annual DLR budget requests.
Analyze budget reports to verify returned funds are properly credited to DLR accounts. Determine stock replenishment levels for centrally controlled items within funding limitations.
Ensure supplies and funds are not wasted through excess accumulation or improper forecasting.
Perform property book operations involving inventory accountability, storage management, and equipment coordination.
Maintain property book accountability using automated or manual supply accounting systems. Establish and maintain hand receipt files to ensure accountability of assigned property.
Schedule, direct, and conduct periodic inspections to ensure stock items are serviceable, properly stored, and accounted for. Ensure all authorized property is on hand or properly requisitioned.
Acquire DLR and CLIX repair parts by verifying availability and ordering parts as required. Determine proper fund coding, prepare requisitions, and forward documentation to sources of supply.
Receive parts, store items, prepare Material Release Orders (MRO), and forward parts to maintenance shops.
Recover unserviceable or damaged parts, initiate turn-in actions, prepare shipment documentation, and ship items to appropriate repair activities.
Establish coordination with military, civilian, and commercial agencies to acquire required items and supplies.
Analyze supply transactions and provide customer service for urgent or critical shortage items.
Code and classify requisitions, shipping orders, and supply documents when standard procedures do not apply.
Extract requests to alternate sources of supply or refer actions to inventory control points when stock is unavailable.
Maintain document control registers and shipment logs to verify receipt of returned repairable items.
Establish procedures for calibration and testing of TMDE and monitor tool room operations, including tool accountability and replacement.
