Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing military supplies, including tracking inventory, handling equipment accounting, and supporting supply operations for the Air National Guard unit in Illinois.
It requires coordinating with teams on supply issues and improving processes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0849000 and is part of the IL 183 WG, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S.
Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible.
The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens.
Military Grades: Enlisted - May not exceed the rank of SSgt.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Level- Must possess specialized experience which includes at least 12 months experienceat the lower-level GS-06, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures.
Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues.
Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system.
Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
GS-06 Level- Must possess specialized experience which includes at least 12 months experience at the lower-level GS-05, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
GS-05 Level- Must possess specialized experience which includes at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned; experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced.

This information is needed to determine if you are qualified for the position. Major Duties:
As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-5/6/7, you will provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Perform routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy.
Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. Develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations.
Plan requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorize procurement and is responsible for funds management.
Knowledge of requisitions, supporting documents and reference material to perform material coordination storage management responsibility for special programs, maintenance, and production shops.
Knowledge of established supply regulations, policies, procedures, and other instructions applicable to the specific assignment.
