THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0895000 and is part of the FL USPFO, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only.
Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard.
First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.
Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
FLARNG BUS Code NG5022: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation.

Military Grades: Enlisted: E1 Thru E7 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; experience with basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; experience governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda; experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience with completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques; experience with inventory management supply system; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 32 and/or Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour).
If a permanent employee in Title 32 and/or Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 32 and/or Title 5 position once the incumbent returns from military duty.
If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition.
INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour).
If an on-board individual employed in Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will be converted to Title 32 and will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3).
If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated.
If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition.

Major Duties:
As an, Supply Technician, GS-2005-07, you will serve as manager for assigned materials.
Maintain accounting and reporting systems for federal property and performs routine phases of material accountability.
Receives, validates and distributes materials using STAMIS daily, weekly and monthly cycle outputs. Receives suspense documents from supervisor and manages workflow of assigned materials.
Processes manager controlled item exception requests. Manages and reviews Authorized Stockage List (ASL).
Manages and reviews requirements to ensure proper type and amount of supplies are available to support requirements.
Coordinates supply requirements with item managers at the National Inventory Control Point (NICP), General Services Administration (GSA), Defense Logistics Agencies (DLA), and Defense Reutilization Marketing Service (DRMS) as applicable.
Prepares reports and budget estimates. Recommends changes to procedures and assists supervisor in validating written instructions.
Collects and interprets data for materials managed in preparation of internal review and analysis. Maintains a retail supply system catalog.
Performs system administration duties as directed by management.
