This job involves managing military supplies and equipment for the Florida Army National Guard, including tracking inventory, processing loans and transfers, and ensuring everything aligns with mission needs.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1904000 and is part of the FL USPFO, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only.
Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard.
First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.
Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

Military Grades: Enlisted: E1 thru E7 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; experience of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS07 Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level; experience governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc; experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience with complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc; experience with inventory management supply system; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
Major Duties:
As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-7, you will analyze possible redistribution of equipment through transfer, loan or assignment.
Review and process external as well as internal loans/leases that may impact readiness or mission requirements.
Processes and accounts for through agency coordination the in coming and outgoing federal property assignment.
Processes and tracks equipment changes in Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) or Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA).
Process electronic requests for TDA and MTOE changes through NGB to DA to achieve the actual Letter of Authorization (LOA).
Reviews and requests LOA for Discretionary items, Commercial non-Standard items, Common Table of Allowance (CTA) items, and non-Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) system.
Monitors and maintains tracking and accountability of all Rapid Fielding Initiatives within the state or unit of assignment.
Reviews all commercial requests for property, Procurement Web (PR WEB), Delivery Orders for authorizations.
Performs extensive fact finding, investigating and recommends corrective action to resolve problems.
Coordinates with Force Integration Readiness Officer and establishes a suspense file for equipment authorizations awaiting MTOE/TDA/CTA changes.
Manages receipt documents for the Total Package Fielding, Rapid Fielding Initiative and Special Procured federal property from any source.
