About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center Logistics Division, Tacoma, Washington.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply support functions as a supply technician who prepares and expedites requisitions for the organization and maintain an accurate filing system for pending and completed requisitions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical and administrative support work such as: preparing or expediting supply requisitions; and using a computer to input, extract, and maintain supply transactions and records.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60.

  • Conducts inventories, quality control and storage required for maintaining stock levels of standard and nonstandard, expendable and nonexpendable medical and non-medical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains adequate level of office supply items through the use of an automated ordering system
  • Serve as an ordering officer for Government Purchase Card purchases.
  • Utilize a computer in order to input, extract, and maintain supply transactions and records.
  • Acts as liaison person between Logistics Division Materiel branch and the operating room to ensure that adequate stock levels are delivered and maintained
