THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D0849000 and is part of the PA United States Property and Fiscal Office, National Guard.

1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. INDEFINITE WITH ROLLOVER Position may lead to permanent assignment without further advertisement.

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at USPFO Supply and Services Division AOC 2: NG employees in the USPFO (This includes Internal Revenue, Contracting, Resource Management, and DPI) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT: Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status.

INDEFINITE: Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician.

Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period.

Indefinite appointments may be separated when their services are no longer needed or when funding is no longer available via a 30-day termination notice.

Military Grades: ENLISTED E1-E8 Supervisor for this position is MSG Mahoney *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered.

Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.

Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.

Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying.

Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.

The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.

SPECIAL NOTE: Per the Merit Promotion and Placement Plan (MPP) if there are more than 15 qualified applicants for each position, by category, a KSA board will be convened in accordance with Chapter 4 of the MPP.

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07, you will perform routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.

Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy.

Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. Perform other related duties as assigned.
