This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D2047000 and is part of the PA Army Aviation Support Facility 1, National Guard.
1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non-Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Army Aviation Support Facility 1 AOC 2: NG Employees in the State Army Aviation Office (This includes AASF 1, AASF 2, and EAATS) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 5: Individuals who are currently serving in another branch of service who are willing to become members of the PANG Military Grades: WARRANT OFFICER WO1-CW4 ENLISTED E6-E9 Supervisor for this position is CW4 Kephart *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance *NOTE: If you're a new supervisor in the Federal Government civil service, you may have to complete a one-year probationary period.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered.
Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 24 months experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management.
Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying.
Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.
The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Major Duties:
As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-09, you will supervise subordinates performing supply work.
Be responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management.
Maintain property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property. Establish quality edit procedures and oversees the edit of all documents.
Coordinate with the USPFO and subordinate units of the division the lateral transfer and/or turn-in of excess property.
Implement regulatory safety and health requirement and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Perform other duties as assigned.
