Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Evaluating additions to or changes in supply policies, programs and procedures.

Generating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for assigned process area.

Making decisions that encompass interpretation, evaluation and recommendations of new concepts, methods and techniques.

Interpreting policy and directives affecting Order Fulfillment, to implement and/or recommend new or revised policies and operating instructions, applying supply policy.

Conducting studies to determine whether proposed changes to system applications meet functional user requirements and to translate general policy guidance into detailed operational procedures.

Developing and presenting briefings to customers and/or higher-level management.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance data to ensure process area is meeting its performance targets and identifies trends.
  • Assists Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) end users by providing guidance for interpreting and applying enterprise-wide Order Fulfillment processes and procedures.
  • Conducts surveys, independent analysis and investigation of specific process issues using new or innovative approaches to evaluate the process and explore logistics solutions.
  • Analyzes, develops, documents and evaluates complex functional systems requirements for assigned functional area.
  • Provides the programmers/system analysts with the functional knowledge required to automate new processes and procedures or to enhance current system functionality.
  • Operates independently as a subject matter expert (to include sub-process owner duties for order fulfillment processes or areas).
  • Conducts analysis on Warehouse Management System WMS IDOCs and develops desk guides and standard operating procedures.
