Full Job Description

This employee will work at SCDNR's Styx Receiving Compound.

Job Duties Include:
  • Receiving and inspecting DNR equipment and property delivered to the Styx Receiving Compound.
  • Ensuring the overall security of the Styx Receiving Compound and reporting any necessary repairs to the supervisor.
  • Maintaining a cooperative relationship with State Surplus property staff for the sale of DNR surplus equipment.
  • Maintaining an inventory of office equipment and property and other DNR equipment for the Styx Receiving Compound.
  • Making equipment available for the public to view. Answering incoming telephone calls to the Styx Receiving Compound.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Requirements

A high school diploma and two (2) years of related experience.

Qualifications

Ability to conduct physical labor and count/document inventory efficiently. Basic automotive/marine skills. Ability to operate equipment such as tractor, forklift, roll-back truck, riding lawn mowers, etc. Basic PC skills and well-versed in language and writing skills.
