Job Description

Summary

Full Job Description

Under general supervision of the Deputy Director. Manages the functions and activities of a large, diverse supply and service operation. Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures. Serves as a vendor and customer liaison for the agency in supply and service matters. Maintain proper inventory of equipment and materials. Receives supplies and equipment from deliveries, performs quality and quantity checks on new supplies, and complete supply requisitions and issues supplies. Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Conducts four cycle Quality Checks on state assigned equipment. Receives, stores, tags and tracks surplus property, and prepare documents for unserviceable or damaged items.Assist with periodic and annual inventories. Issue cadets clothing and materials for each cycle, to include all dormitory essential needs and supplies. Conducts direct exchange for cadets throughout cycle when initial issue is worn out or unserviceable. Assists DFAC supervisor with requisitioning of supplies for dining facility. Responsible for general upkeep and cleaning of supply room and restocking shelves. Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law. Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention. Monitor compliance to policies and laws. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions. Assist with investigation of accidents or incidents to discover causes as needed. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics. Attend necessary and required meetings. Produce reports and develop relevant policies. Perform inspections on a monthly basis and other job duties as assigned by Deputy Director and/or Director.

Requirements
