Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing supplies and equipment at a secure government site, including handling purchases with a government card, tracking inventory, storing items safely, and ensuring everything is accounted for and maintained.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Raven Rock Mountain Complex, Logistics Division and serves as a Supply Management Specialist.

The incumbent serves as the central point of contact for Government Purchase Card (GPC) requisitioning.

receipt, accurate identification of items, cataloging, storage, issue, inventory management, monthly inventories and maintenance of equipment and supplies of government equipment.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your experience: Providing inventory and storage management, property accountability, material acquisition and projections in order to provide logistical support; and, Applying supply system procedures and regulatory requirements to manage, track, and reconcile supply transactions.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcript at time of application) OR Combination of Experience and Education: Specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and at least one year of graduate education as described above, but less than the required two years.

Compute the percentage of the requirements that you meet. The total must equal at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12.

Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.).

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Prepares purchase requests for a wide variety of supply and equipment items, to include specialized, hard to find, or technical items and equipment where there are no established precedents from previous transactions to serve as guidelines.

Analyzes inventories in relation to projected needs and provides recommendations to the affected customer on backup stock requests. Assists the RRMC staff and Mission Partners.

Researches and analyzes changes in demand, changes in customer demand partners. Coordinates and initiates all work order requirements and requests.

Operates a government vehicle, to include: pallet jacks to pickup supplies, material, equipment. etc.
