Job Description

Summary

This job involves supervising and managing supply systems for the Army National Guard, including analyzing data, creating procedures, and ensuring efficient logistics support for equipment and materials.

It requires leading a team to handle inventory, budgets, and quality programs in a military context.

Full Job Description

This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0897000 and is part of the FL USPFO, National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C.

709", and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.

PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.

Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.

MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted: E1 thru E8 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field.

Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and federal civilian or military personnel programs; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques; experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment.

Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support; experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda; experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Major Duties:

As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), GS-2003-9, you will manage the Retail Supply Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) in the Material Management Branch.

Reviews, analyzes, and interprets supply directives and guidelines to formulate and implement effective operating procedures to achieve optimum logistical support.

Develops criteria and administers procedures to affect and ensure the validity of the quality assurance programs within the branch.

Performs analysis and assessment of logistical programrequirements to eliminate problems and deficiencies.
