Full Job Description

This Supervisory Supply Management Specialist for WHS/FSD provides logistics expertise and supervision for the Remote Delivery Facility and Dockmaster's office.

The role involves planning and directing logistics programs for the Pentagon Reservation, including managing inventory and advising on distribution, storage, and transportation to maintain a functional supply program.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal Service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) which has given me the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties related to the position being filled.

Specialized experience is defined as: (1) planning, supervising and/or providing direction for the management of organizational supply or logistics programs and/or operations, and (2) analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness/efficiency of logistics programs and operations and making improvement recommendations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Provides comprehensive leadership and supervision to a team of government and contractor employees, overseeing all logistical support for Special Events, managing workloads, evaluating performance, and making decisions on personnel and training needs.

Serves as a logistics expert and manager for the WHS Integrated Tracking System (ITS), directing daily operations in material examination, inventory control, stock replenishment, excess materials, and audit readiness.

Exercises the full range of administrative and technical supervision, including establishing work priorities, recommending personnel actions such as hiring and promotions, developing performance standards, and implementing management policies.

Coordinates and directs daily tasks, making technical decisions on inventory adjustments, shipping, storage, and document control to ensure the effective operation of a fully functional supply program supporting the Pentagon Reservation.
