This position is located within the Space Planning & Requirements Branch (SP&RB), Space Portfolio Division (SPD), for the Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), at Washington Headquarters Services (WHS).
This position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-13 in the federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) which demonstrates the following: Managing, reviewing, and ensuring space compliance with established General Services Administration (GSA) standards; Ensuring administrative space policies are consistent with (GSA) standards to include the reconciliation of GSA space; Participating in discussions, evaluations, site visits and management of WHS-controlled Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) to ensure mission readiness; Overseeing the maintenance of hard-copy and electronic space assignment databases, drawings, and records; AND managing the planning and scheduling of subordinate work to include assessing employee skills and mission requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with Section 9905 "Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense." Typical work assignments may include the following: Directs the planning, development, and oversight of DoD administrative space policy as well as enforcement of General Services Administration (GSA) space policy and standards.
Conducts discussions, evaluations, site visits and manages WHS-controlled Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities and occasionally escorts potential occupants or tenants seeking SCIF spaces.
Oversees the establishment, verification, and maintenance of hard-copy and electronic space assignment databases, drawings, and records to support Space Portfolio Division space management, rent billing, and leased building management, Facilities Operations and Services Division facility management, Standards and Compliance Division, and Pentagon Force Protection Agency security programs.
Oversees the receipt and review of rent bills for GSA assigned space within the NCR, as well as the identification and resolution of discrepancies against 140 monthly billing documents from GSA.
Manages the coordination and reconciliation of Pentagon Reservation rent payments for DoD assigned space, as well as the identification and resolution of discrepancies against billing documents for 18 DoD Components.
Plans and schedules subordinate work, sets and adjusts short-term priorities; assigns work in consideration of employee's skills and mission requirements.
