Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DoD Sexual Assault Program Workforces Positions to recruit qualified candidates.

About the Position: The Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (Principal) (SAR WF) serves as the principal authority, strategic advisor and advocate to the Senior Commander for the Command's Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program and technical expert/consultant for all SHARP issues Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) managing and directing installation/executive level program activities that emphasize prevention of sexual harassment/assault and victim advocacy; and 2) developing sexual harassment/assault policy and guidelines to achieve program objectives; and 3) providing technical advice on sexual harassment/assault to management and program support personnel; and 4) analyzing program data to identify trends or areas for improvement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Major Duties:

  • Act as the principal authority, strategic advisor, and advocate for the Sexual Harassment/ Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program and victims of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and associated retaliatory behaviors for the Commander.
  • Manage a Corps level SHARP Program servicing Soldiers and Family members, as well as Department of Army Civilians.
  • Administer the SHARP program to maintain a workplace environment that rejects sexual harassment and sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors.
  • Formulate Command SHARP directives, prevention, education, and SHARP reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee, manage, and establish procedural guidance for the SHARP hotline.
  • Support the commander with prevention activities, response coordination, case management, victim advocacy and training management.
