About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Community Center... This is a Regular Full-Time Position, 35-40 hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of business operations policies, procedures, methods, and publicity techniques within one or more of the following areas: military recreation; morale, welfare, and recreation business operations; and/or community wide event planning.
Skill in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and present ideas and findings on a variety of issues.
Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure of timelines and rigid deadlines.
Knowledge of accounting and budgeting procedures in order to prepare, monitor variances, and revise budgets. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public.
Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Major Duties:
Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Community Center operation.
Plans, manages, and executes a variety of innovative and needs-based quality of life programs and services IAW DAFI requirements.
Manages program scheduling and coordinates with other activities and related agencies to avoid conflicts.
Evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing programs and services from the standpoint of participation, resources, and program after-action evaluations.
Collaborates with Marketing in developing effective strategies to promote programs and services and maximize participation through FSS web pages, social media platforms, and other methods.
Works closely with the Operations Manager (Zeppelin's Food and Beverage) operations pertaining to catering and lounge services that are provided within the facility.
Formulates, justifies, and executes both the appropriated funds (APF) and non-appropriated funds (NAF) budgets.
Implements accounting practices and internal control procedures for receiving, safeguarding, and disbursing all funds and assets.
Maintains an accurate account of daily sales revenue, operational funds, fixed assets, and property. Procures and/or initiates procurement documents for supplies and equipment.
Reviews and evaluates purchases of supplies and equipment using all required AF systems to ensure compliance with proper purchase, inventory, and accounting processes.
Responsible for managing maintenance/repair of facilities and equipment. Prepares and submits work order requests as required. Supervises personnel assigned to Community Center.
Assigns, directs and reviews the work of subordinate employees; plans and carries out the training and development of employees; evaluates employee work performance; recommends selections, status changes and disciplinary actions; plans schedules, and coordinates work operations, explains management policies.
Identifies and resolves employee performance and discipline concerns.

Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Works under the direct supervision of the Community Services Flight Chief.
