Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to ensure high-quality standards in ammunition production and operations at a U.S.

Army facility, including managing staff, developing policies, and communicating with customers and leaders.

It requires supervising daily quality checks, giving updates on projects, and helping with hiring and training.

A good fit would be someone with experience in quality control or project management in a technical or manufacturing setting, who is organized and good at teamwork and presentations.

Key Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-08 level, including resolving project issues, planning technical activities, and contributing to reports
  • Experience presenting briefings to update teams on organizational goals

About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Crane Army Ammunition Activity, IN.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/levelNH-02 (GS-08 equivalent).

Specialized experience is defined as: 1).

Using varied approaches to resolve or collaborate on projects/programs issues; 2) Presenting informational briefings to keep employees up to date on organizations objectives; 3).

Planning functional technical activities for projects/programs; 4). Identifying and pursuing individual/team development opportunities AND 5).

Writes, or is a major contributor to, management/technical reports or contractual documents to support the overall mission.

  • Execute personnel management functions to support equal opportunity
