About Region 8 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14level defined as supervising staff responsible for developing and executing communication, outreach, media and event-planning strategies targeting a variety of audiences; analyzing information and developing tracking systems to monitor progress and formulate conclusions to support organizational activities; and advising senior leadership.

You will: Plan, organize, direct, and oversee the activities of the Region's Public Affairs Branch, providing leadership and supervision for a staff of public affairs specialists, congressional liaisons, and related staff.
Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represent the organizational unit and Agency with a variety of functional area organizations.
