Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes: Providing solutions and briefings to managers or officials on risks, internal controls, financial management policies and procedures.
Examples of such experience may include: Performing formal and informal briefings and presentations of a technical nature to management defending a position or to gain support from the audience in an audit or financial statement review environment Communicating complex and/or controversial issues, justifying conclusions reached and recommending courses of actions in an audit environment Leading diverse teams of auditors or analysts to provide products in a timely and professional manner, and/or performing formal and informal briefings and presentations of a technical nature to high level management defending a position or to gain support from the audience in an audit environment.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

As a Supervisory Auditor (Financial), you will: Manage and lead in-depth reviews, assessments, evaluations, and reconciliations addressing all aspects of financial/accounting operations, systems, internal controls, fraud, and audit remediation.
Apply and evaluate accounting principles, standards, theories, techniques, and methodologies to problem solve complex issues and remediate financial audit deficiencies and leads and develops staff in this discipline.
Oversee and plan the development of accounting studies, analysis, assessments and examinations of accounting data and information to determine the consistent application of accounting principles to business events, financial transactions, and systems.
Determine the effects of financial accounting transactions on operations of the organization and the effectiveness of the related internal controls.
