This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
The incumbent will oversee the development, execution, and demonstration of technologies to be employed by Special Operation Forces (SOF) in Counter WMD and Hard and Deeply Buried Targets (HDBT).
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Directing the full lifecycle development, execution, and demonstration of cutting-edge technologies for Special Operation Forces (SOF), and Joint Forces enabling them to successfully Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) and defeat Hard and Deeply Buried Targets (HDBT); Exercising Milestone Decision Authority by applying R&D acquisition policies to strategically realign funds across a 10-program portfolio, ensuring attainment of OSD goals; Leading a diverse, highly technical staff of military, civilian, and contractor personnel to drive innovation and mission accomplishment in major RDT&E programs by integrating science, engineering, and resource management; Developing overarching strategies by forging and leading coalitions with the Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Forces, OSD, and inter-agency partners to identify technology gaps, mitigate threats, and synchronize national security programs.

As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (SPECIAL OPERATION FORCES) at the GS-0340-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the Supervisory Program Manager overseeing the development, execution, and demonstration of technologies to be employed by Special Operation Forces (SOF) in Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction and Hard and Deeply Buried Targets (HDBT) as defined within Joint Publication (JP) 3-40 and other policies.
Directs major RDT&E programs to support component and system-level CWMD/HDBT capability demonstrations and tests.
Projects are key to supporting the Agency's efforts to develop new and improved methods of deterring adversary state-sponsored and terrorist infrastructure or, failing that, for putting it at risk.
Aids in formulating a coherent Division-level technology development and demonstration plan defining programs and projects that will support Directorate goals across the FYDP.
Recognizes opportunities for and develops programs with customers for new technologies and capabilities that are existing and/or available to the warfighter from the Tech Base, National Labs, and a variety of other sources.
Provides leadership to project managers and program managers in establishing and maintaining effective management processes and maintains a work environment conductive to effective integration of technical functions of planning, science, engineering, contracting, and resource management.
Develops required programmatic and fiscal documentation to support the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution system. Makes necessary programmatic and technical judgment of priorities.
Provides a high degree of management and technical innovation to provide quality products that meet requirements at the lowest cost.
