Full Job Description

Serves as a Supervisory Program Manager for Behavioral Health, overseeing program operations, staff, and budget in a clinical or residential setting.

Ensures compliance with policies and clinical standards, supervises multidisciplinary staff, and collaborates with stakeholders to improve program effectiveness and patient care outcomes.

Reports to the Health System Administrator of Desert Sage Youth Wellness Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower GS-12 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience planning, directing, and managing a behavioral health program in a clinical or residential setting.

This includes overseeing program operations, staffing, and budget; establishing goals and performance measures; evaluating program effectiveness; supervising multidisciplinary staff; ensuring compliance with policies, clinical and accreditation standards; interacting with county, state, and federal agencies; direct contact with AI/AN tribal communities and health programs; exercising independent judgment to resolve complex clinical and program issues.

Selective Placement Factor: In addition to the Minimum requirements, you must currently hold at least one of the following certifications in order to be qualified for this position: Current, unrestricted U.S.

State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), a Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW), or equivalent independent advanced practice licensing to provide direct psychotherapy.

Credentialing as a Behavioral Health Provider is also required for this position, which is required before the start date.

Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.

Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
