This position is part of the Agency Force Protection, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
To qualify for the Supervisory Police Officer, PQ - 0083 - 7 , you must meet the following requirements: You must possess 52 weeks of specialized experience at the PQ/PZ-06 (or equivalent) level or higher.
Specialized experience is defined as the supervisory experience in active police work which includes: Overseeing Police Officers performing patrol, checkpoint and related law enforcement/protective duties, working with federal, state, and local agencies concerning investigations involving incidents of mutual interest; and assisting with overseeing Police Officers of varying grades when required.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (01/15/2026) to be considered.
