Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-12. Expert-level knowledge in field.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers in the Navy's hypersonic weapons program, focusing on designing, integrating, and maintaining launcher systems for missiles on ships, submarines, and land platforms.
You'll oversee budgets, manage contracts, and provide expert advice on complex technical challenges to ensure projects stay on track.

In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer with system engineering in a program office setting; budgeting or task planning to include the oversight of tasking and finances; leading teams as a functional leader or manager; and managing a contract, reviewing and implementing contract language.
