This job involves leading a team of engineers to test and certify nuclear reactors on naval ships at a shipyard in Washington state, ensuring everything operates safely and meets standards.
You'll plan tests, manage projects, and coordinate with other departments to handle any issues that come up during maintenance or operations.

The selectee for this position will serve as a Nuclear Chief Test Engineer in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Professional Shift Test Engineer overseeing or managing projects related to nuclear reactor plant test operations on naval vessels.
