Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

This job involves leading a team of engineers to plan, test, and evaluate mechanical systems on ships at a naval shipyard, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely during major testing programs.
It's a supervisory role where you'll coordinate with other experts, manage multi-million-dollar projects, and advise on how your work fits into larger shipyard operations.
A good fit would be an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys leading projects in a technical, team-based environment, especially with a background in ship or industrial systems.
You will serve as a Supervisory Mechanical Engineer in the Engineering & Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer planning and leading projects related to the test and evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment for ship systems testing operations.
