Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage logistics for Navy expeditionary units, ensuring equipment, supplies, and resources are ready for combat or peacetime missions.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS (N4) DEPARTMENT of the Navy (NCG 2).

To qualify for a GS-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing logistic support to units with tasking from multiple combatant commanders regarding logistic policies, deliberate planning, organization, functions and operations ensuring combat ready forces for contingency and peacetime operations.

Experience directing daily task assignments, ensuring timely communication and understanding of the ever-changing expeditionary environment as it relates to inventory management of equipment, disposition, stratification and restructuring of Civil Engineer Construction Equipment (CESE) and Non-CESE TOA pack-ups.

Experience performing a full range of supervisory responsibilities for subordinate staff. Experience in weapons and ammunitions accountability and management.

Experience conducting budgeting, financial and procurement auditing and oversight.

  • You will perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities for a subordinate staff.
  • You will delegate tasks and monitoring accomplishments; assuring production requirements are met and expected levels of accuracy and attention to detail are observed.
  • You will provide logistics management recommendations and give advice, counsel, or instruction to subordinates on logistics management and administrative matters.
  • You will develop reports and responses for Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and coordinate with NECC Comptroller for management of monies and reprogramming of funds as required.
  • You will serve as the Civil Engineer Construction Equipment (CESE) inventory management expert regarding CESE and Non-CESE pack up kits for reconfiguration to support special missions or mission scope changes, stratification and redistribution.
  • You will perform movement and embarkation oversight.
  • You will be responsible for the development of OM and N and OM and NR budgeting, civilian staffing, supply, maintenance, and management of the various information technology (IT) systems.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.
