Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Fleet Readiness Center East of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Expert in Fleet Support Team (FST) Logistics; 2. Developing program sustainment and acquisition integrated logistics support; 3.

Providing effective managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system; 4. Evalutaing new approaches, guides and standards to make logistical decisions.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will provide supervisory expertise the technical competence, knowledge, and professional services required to sustain a weapon system, associated components, and related support systems.
  • You will develop planning objectives and management strategies for current and long range (3-5 year) program tasks.
  • You will review all task team charters, Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM), and budget proposals prior to submittal to the FST Leader for funding.
  • You will lead a team that is responsible to develop new and unique solutions to complex problems, often improving on existing in-service support and establishing a new state-of-the-art support system.
  • You will work in concert with the FST Logistics Lead to identify and develop appropriate budget allocation and execution plans to meet program ILS requirements as required.
