Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team focused on cleaning up and restoring the Great Lakes environment, including overseeing projects, managing staff, and working with partners to implement restoration initiatives.
It's a supervisory role at a senior level in the EPA, where you'll advise on policies related to water quality and environmental protection.

This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as providing leadership and oversight to a team or project; maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and enhancing program effectiveness.

You will: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit goals and objectives that integrate organization and program objectives for promoting effective operation of the organization.
Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to oversee work, ensure reasonable equity of performance standards, and resolve group grievances among employees promoting an environment for effective mission accomplishment.
Represent the Agency with a variety of functional area organizations to explain policy and procedures, resolve significant problems, and determine appropriate actions of impact for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships.
Serve as a technical advisor and assistant to the Second-level supervisor on issues pertaining to the implementation of the Great Lakes Restoration initiative and the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement for environmental remediation.
