Summary

This job involves leading a team in planning and managing IT systems for military intelligence operations, including designing communication networks and overseeing large-scale IT projects from start to finish.

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S.

Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

This position is located at the USA Intelligence & Security Command, HQ 513TH Military Intelligence BDE, Automation MGT OFC, FT Eisenhower, GA.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13) In addition to the specialized experience listed above, your resume must show you have Information Technology-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as defined: (1) Attention to Detail-Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Enterprise Architecture Project Management Acquisition Strategy Major Duties:

  • Serves as the Information Technology (IT) Director and technical adviser to the Brigade Commander with the ability and authority to perform the most difficult work in support of Brigade IT requirements.
  • Ensure the integrity, standardization, and accessibility of data used by the 513th Military Intelligence Brigade (MIB).
  • Serves as the Brigade Data Center manager and primary liaison officer with INSCOM, ARCENT, CENTCOM, DISA, DIA, NSA, Army G2, Army G6, local Network Enterprise Center (NEC), and Coalition network management entities for associated IT matters.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for all garrison level communication services, advises and assists subordinate element IT activities, and supervises IT personnel at HQ 513th Military Intelligence Brigade.
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises actions necessary to acquire, operate, and maintain IT systems and network connectivity in support of the 513th MI Brigade mission.
