Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team that provides cyber support and technical assistance for submarine IT systems in the Navy, ensuring everything runs smoothly and securely across multiple locations like Hawaii and Guam.

Full Job Description

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

You will serve as the Branch Head for the Fleet Cyber Support Branch (Code 45300) within the Fleet Readiness Department, Fleet Technical Support Division of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Information Technology (IT) principles to carry out technical support for submarine IT systems.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will oversee submarine cyber support in the execution of assigned in-service engineering waterfront support functional assignments.
  • You will provide a broad range of technical and support activities related to program management, security, policy, and systems engineering of Submarine Cyber Systems.
  • You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, technical and administrative leadership within the Branch.
  • You will implement strategic initiatives, organizational management, mentoring, project management, program execution and budgeting for Code 453 operations in Hawaii, Guam, California, and Washington State.
  • You will liaison with sponsors, customers and end users to assure products and services meet Fleet readiness requirements and assure they remain current and relevant.
  • You will ensure all installed National Power and Energy System (NPES) systems information is protected and properly managed, all vulnerability patches are installed, and all IT Networks are in the best possible material condition for deployment.
