Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST in the Communications and Information Systems Directorate of MARITIME OPERATIONS CENTER.

Note: This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code IT Project Manager, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and directing enterprise Information Technology or communication system operations; providing technical authority over complex communication or network systems; developing and executing strategic IT plans; managing large scale IT projects; and/or ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and DoD governance requirements in support of mission critical operations.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will be the principal technical authority for all Communications Systems (CS) supporting the Fleet Command Center and the COMPACFLT Maritime Operations Center.
  • You will be responsible for strategic long-range planning, project execution, operational readiness, and continuous improvement for the transport, networks, and systems supporting the PACFLT Admin Site, etc.
  • You will be responsible to meet stringent Joint Task Force, Joint Force Maritime Component Commander (JFMCC) and Maritime Operations Center (MOC) requirements.
  • You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and rigorous enforcement of SOPs, Annex K to standardize and optimize operational protocols in support of exercises and real-world operations.
  • You will exercise administrative and technical supervision over technical subordinates at the COMPACFLT Administrative Site (CPF Annex) for CS MOC Systems support.
