As a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, you guide the Processing & Records Team to meet mission needs, ensure accurate and timely completion of actions, develop strategic plans, lead team training, and deliver effective support to internal and external customers..

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/10/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/10/2026.

GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the majority of the following duties: Conducting review of personnel actions or files to ensure accuracy and resolving identified errors or discrepancies; Coordinating team efforts to complete project tasks and support organizational goals; Managing difficult inquiries, diagnosing and correcting data entry issues, and providing solutions for personnel, payroll, and record keeping concerns; Ensuring timely processing of personnel actions and the reliability of personnel data in management systems.

  • Provide expert advice to managers and employees on complex processing, record keeping, and pay issues; recommend innovative solutions for agency-wide processing operations.
  • Oversee accurate creation and management of employee pay and personnel accounts, including record keeping, personnel movements, pay status changes, and benefits updates.
  • Use broad HR and pay expertise to identify and analyze problems, investigate solutions, coordinate with HROC staff, and present recommendations, applying deep knowledge of processing, personnel, and assigned organizations.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
  • Develop performance standards for subordinates, evaluate their work performance, determine training needed, administer or coordinate training.
