Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team that handles human resources for civilian employees in the U.S.
Space Force, including managing personnel policies, budgets, and daily operations for both regular government funds and non-appropriated funds.
A good fit would be someone with strong leadership experience in HR, a solid understanding of federal employment rules, and the ability to oversee budgets and communicate effectively in a military environment.

The primary purpose of this position is to: Exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Civilian Personnel Flight and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources element.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Human Resources Management, Series 0201.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-III, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-12-13 or equivalent in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience must include: Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to executive orders and policies.
Knowledge of the concepts, laws, rules, and regulations governing federal appropriated fund and NAF civilian personnel management. Skilled in civilian pay budget policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of the concepts, laws, rules, and regulations governing federal appropriated fund and NAF civilian personnel management. 2. Knowledge of civilian pay budget policies and procedures. 3.
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. 4. Skill in written and oral communication to present issues and recommendations. 5.
Ability to lead, manage, and supervise a small, medium, or large size organization. 6. Ability to manage a human resource office (e.g., personnel, budgeting, space management, safety, etc.).
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
