Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers and architects to manage construction projects for naval facilities, including overseeing designs, contracts, and ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards.
It's a supervisory role where you'll solve complex problems and guide staff through the entire process from planning to completion.
A good fit would be an experienced professional engineer or architect with strong leadership skills and a background in government or large-scale construction.
You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer/Architect in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages overall requirement in administering construction contracts in developing project scopes, cost estimates, and/or design builds/request for proposals; 2) Provides subject matter expert-level guidance to engineers, architects and technicians on architectural and engineering methods during the design and construction period of project (i.e, acquisitions strategies, pre-construction conferences, constructability reviews); 3) Monitors quality assurance and safety compliance with plans and specifications; and 4) Evaluates facility construction workload against critical priorities to develop creative, technically sound solutions to problems not remedied by standard, pre-defined processes.
