Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-13. Senior expert or supervisor.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers to plan, manage, and carry out testing programs for ships and submarines at a naval shipyard, ensuring everything runs safely and on schedule.
It requires overseeing non-nuclear systems, advising top leaders on technical matters, and coordinating with ship captains and managers.
A good fit would be an experienced engineer with a strong background in naval maintenance projects and leadership skills to guide supervisors.
You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer of the Test Engineering and Planning Division, Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: professional engineering experience providing technical or programmatic direction in the planning or execution of engineered maintenance projects on naval ships or submarines.
